why all AI writing sounds the same

after hundreds of hours, exploring, working, and building at an AI copywriting tool, I can tell which content is purely crafted by humans and the one that is created by AI. if you value authenticity of your writing style and tone, the perfect balance is maintaining human-assisted AI content creation over pure AI-generated content (yeah, it may sound obvious, but you might want to understand what makes your content sound like you and avoid generic copy or structure suggested by AI)

what AI is good for:

  • research and Ideation

  • suggesting different angles

  • integrating frameworks into your writing.

  • finding the right words to improve the depth and clarity of your thoughts.

if you want AI to save you time, but you still sound like you:

  • avoid having the first content structure or outline generated by AI.

  • design your own content template/structure.

  • your first draft should come from you, even if it's rough/unpolished.

  • write like you talk, use voice dictation to save time.

  • then ask AI for feedback.

there are some advanced techniques like designing your own system prompt, which includes your content samples, personal frameworks, content creation process, rules, and guardrails, but most people don't have time for that. unless you're a copywriter/content creator.

..that's what I learned so far. might add more to the list later.
